Explanation
Advantages of our method: Development of a personal standard and the experience of community
We use a method integrating various styles of dancing and movement techniques from different cultures in an aesthetic education which can be traced back archetypes common to all humans. It is possible to transform those archetypes such as giving and receiving, connecting and separating, leading and being led, continuous reliability - unbound freedom, helping - being helped etc. into a physical, a body experience. These basic features now exist for the manager in New York, the village principal in Uganda, the farmer on the Philippines, the clerk in Moscow, the hunter and fruitpicker in Papua New Guinea and the musician in London in the same way. The relevance of the separate themes and the significance attached to them may vary. This also applies to the pressure to conform, the chances of finding an individual solution of life questions beyond the limitations of tradition and the social consequences resulting from this. All these patterns of behaviour may differ enormously. However, all over the world people are forced to face these basic themes. The type of teaching is non-assessive. This allows a multivariety / multitude of formation against the common background of shared topics of life and a perception of the own personality as unique as well as variation of the general human being. approach: Dance improvisation as a common art "TIA" Body symbolism, internal pictures and awareness "KÖSYBE" Experimental dance theatre "EXTATHE" represents one of the leading current concepts connecting body perception, dance training, creative expression and personal development. It is especially advantageous for transcultural studies that dancing styles and body techniques from different ethnic and stylistic contexts ranging from VOODOO to YOGA, from CLASSIC to NEW DANCE are used, always integrated into the respective theme. These techniques are allocated to themes such as the above mentioned Rootedness/ground contact - Independence/freedom, Movement flow - Impulse, Space/Form - Rhythmic repetition, Giving -Taking, Uniting - Separating and some more others. |
